10th Pan Arab Congress in Psychiatry

Dr. Elie Karam, Ms Mariana Salamoun and Ms. Ranya Hajjar were invited to participate in the 10th Pan Arab Congress in Psychiatry for the Arab Psychiatry Federation in Cairo, from June 18th to the June 20th , 2008 to present a symposium titled “Suicidality across the World: Prevalence and Predictors”. During this symposium, presentations were given by Dr. Karam, Dr. Elie Hantouche, Ms. Ranya Hajjar and Ms. Mariana Salamoun. Dr. Karam’s presentation was titled “Suicide around the Globe: Cross-National Prevalence and Risk Factors for Suicidal Ideation, Plans and Attempts. The WMH Survey”. Dr. Hantouche’s presentation was titled “Suicidality in Mood Disorders: New Findings involving Cyclothymia”.Ms Hajjar’s Presentation titled “Suicidality in the Arab World: a Review of the Literature”. Ms Salamoun’s Presentation was titled “Suicidality in Lebanon: Results from the L.E.B.A.N.O.N. study”
